How reconditioning works

The reconditioning service extends the service life of high-quality JONGEN tools and provides a transparent process from shipment to return delivery.

Signed-in shop customers can create orders separately, view their processing history and order transport boxes.

Original JONGEN process

From used tool back to production

01

Send in tools

Used tools arrive safely packaged for inspection.

02

Check feasibility

We inspect each tool individually for technical feasibility.

03

Regrind and recoat

Machining is carried out on original equipment, with recoating where required.

04

Receive original quality

You receive a ready-to-use tool in JONGEN quality.

Technical requirements

What to consider before shipping

  • Shank lengths below 20 mm cannot be reground.
  • Falling below the DIN shank length can cause increased run-out.
  • Modified or damaged shanks may restrict reconditioning.
  • Technical feasibility is checked for each tool after receipt.
Secure shipping

Packaging instructions

Insufficiently packed tools may be damaged in transit. Treat used tools with the same care as new tools.

  • Secure tools individually against contact and movement.
  • Use sturdy outer packaging and suitable cushioning.
  • A JONGEN transport box can be ordered for recurring shipments.
