Alloy surcharge

Alloy Surcharge (LGZ)

The ongoing dynamic development of raw material prices – particularly in the tungsten market – makes an adjustment to our pricing structure necessary.

Market Development

The decisive factor is the price of Ammonium Paratungstate (APT), the most important raw material for carbide. Development:

  • 02.01.2026 920 USD/MTU
  • 06.02.2026 1,375 USD/MTU
  • 17.04.2026 3,044 USD/MTU

A sustainable easing of the situation is currently not foreseeable. The increasing demand for strategic materials such as tungsten is creating additional pressure.

New Alloy Surcharge (LGZ)

0 EUR/kg Carbide

Why a surcharge instead of a price increase?
  • No general adjustment of list prices
  • Transparent and cost-causal representation of raw material costs
  • Fair allocation according to actual material usage
Implementation of the LGZ
  • The blank weight is determined for all solid carbide tools
  • The determined blank weight is multiplied by the current surcharge (EUR/kg carbide)
  • Dynamic adjustment in line with market developments
  • Shown separately on all documents
Always keep the alloy surcharge in view

The current alloy surcharge (LGZ) is available at any time in our online shop. If desired, we will automatically notify you by e-mail of every adjustment.
